Thousands of farmers and fisherfolk are faced with eviction and loss of livelihood across the entire Bicol region due to widespread plunder and landgrabbing by local bureaucrat-capitalists, big landlords and foreign corporations for ecotourism, mining, renewable energy and land conversion. These local bureaucrat-capitalists and big landlords are one in the same, the likes of the Escudero, Hamor, Co, Salceda, Villafuerte, Alsua, Mitra, Cua and Kho clans. They have used their positions in local government and public funds to amass land and resources.

Millions of Overseas Filipino Workers suffer under US-Israel’s war on Iran

The escalating armed conflict between US-Israel and Iran is directly impacting 2.3 million Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) and other migrant workers working and residing in the Gulf countries (UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain). The war directly threatens the physical safety of OFWs in the Gulf countries in addition to the other countries in the region already involved in war, such as Palestine, Israel, Lebanon and Yemen. This is particularly acute for those OFWs situated near the 27 US and Israeli military bases and assets in the Middle East.

NPA Red fighters dealt severe blows to the fascist AFP’s 11th Infantry Battallion wiping out at least 5 of its troops after repelling its attacks on the guerrillas and the peasant masses.

ICC case: due process for a man who denied due process to his victims

From 23 to 27 February 2026, the International Criminal Court (ICC) held a hearing for the Confirmation of Charges in the crimes against humanity case against former President Rodrigo Duterte. The sole purpose of this hearing is for the judges to determine whether or not there is sufficient evidence to establish substantial grounds that Duterte committed the crimes of which he is being charged. If these charges are confirmed, in full or in part, the case will proceed to trial.

Protest marches at home and abroad mark EDSA Uprising’s 40th Anniversary

All over the Philippines and abroad, tens of thousands, mostly youth, joined protests rallies to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the EDSA Uprising. Workers, peasants, urban poor, youth, women, church people, teachers, staff and others call out: “The Fight Against Corruption and Poverty Continues! Everyone involved should be held accountable!”

Co-perpetrators in Duterte’s War on Drugs named by ICC

On 13 February 2026, the International Criminal Court (ICC) reissued the Document Containing the Charges. This new, less redacted version of the document identifies eight co-perpetrators in former President Rodrigo Duterte’s crimes against humanity. However, no further arrest warrants have been issued yet.

Fascist AFP officer’s killing by CAFGU exposes AFP rottenness and abuses

Despite the declaration of the fascist AFP’s 8th Infantry Division in October 2025 that it would end the revolutionary movement throughout Eastern Visayas by the end of 2025 through “Operation Clean Eastern Visayas”, the New People’s Army (NPA) wiped out at least seven fascist troops in several armed offensives.
