Progressive children’s rights advocates, human rights defenders and progressive politicians have strongly condemned a new proposal to amend the only law of the Philippine reactionary state protecting children. They strongly averred that children in conflict with the law are victims.

Marcos Jr. calls typhoon disasters “new normal” to evade accountability

Marcos Jr. has recently declared that the frequent and severe flooding caused by typoons in the Philippines should now be considered the “new normal.” He made these remarks following widespread devastation brought about by recent weather systems, including Typhoon Co-May and enhanced southwest monsoon rains, which led to significant flooding across many parts of the country, causing deaths and displacements.

NPA units continue to log successful battles

Guerrilla fighters of the New People’s Army (NPA) continue to log their latest successful battles.
Last July 13, NPA fighters belonging to the Lucio de Guzman Command in Mindoro Island, south of Manila, ambushed a police convoy in Barangay Bagong Silang, Oriental Mindoro killing two fascists police.
CPP slams Duterte’s house arrest request: “Are You Joking?”

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), on July 15, 2025, via it’s Chief Information Officer Marco Valbuena, chided Senator Allan Cayetano for filing a resolution in the Philippine Senate calling for “house arrest” for former president Rodrigo Duterte instead of continuing detention in a jail in The Hague, The Netherlands, by the International Court of Justice (ICC) after being arrested for charges of crimes against humanity.

Contrary to Duterte defense claims, ICC prosecution opposses interim release
