US lackeys attack China, deflects attention from outrage against US imperialism

The Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) exposed the mounting attacks against China by American stooges, invoking defense of Philippine sovereignty, as having the effect of deflecting the people’s attention from the mounting global outrage against US imperialism. The CPP Chief Information officer Marco Valbuena said these lackeys “hope to perpetuate the false American narrative that US military presence is needed to protect the country”.

Marcos Jr. regime “weaponizes law” to suppress dissent

Local and overseas journalists’ groups, church people, academics, and progressive organizations, strongly condemned the conviction of journalist Frenchie Mae Cumpio and church worker Marielle Domequil in the “terrorism financing” case by the RTC Branch 45 in Tacloban City on January 22, 2026. The court ruled that the accused were guilty of “terrorism financing” and sentenced them to 18 years in prison and fined PHP 500,000 each.

Robust NPA armed actions in Samar province wipe out 7 fascist troops; AFP turns to targeting children

Despite the declaration of the fascist AFP’s 8th Infantry Division in October 2025 that it would end the revolutionary movement throughout Eastern Visayas by the end of 2025 through “Operation Clean Eastern Visayas”, the New People’s Army (NPA) wiped out at least seven fascist troops in several armed offensives.

Dupax del Norte residents resist mining exploration project

The inhabitants of the municipality of Dupax del Norte in Nueva Viscaya have been living off the abundant natural resources: gold-rich mountains, clean rivers, fertile agricultural lands and thick forests. But the area is seen as a treasure trove for imperialist plunder, with the government’s bureaucrat capitalists promoting the sale of the country’s resources to the highest bidders and lining their pockets in the process.

CNL-Compatriots hold first global assembly

Compatriots- National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP), held the first Global Assembly of one of its sub-sectors, the Christians for National Liberation (CNL)-Compatriots. The assembly, which was held end of 2025 was attended by over 120 faith leaders from different parts of the world, together with observers from different Compatriot sub-sector organizations. Among them were Kabataan Makabayan-Compatriots and Makibaka-Compatriots.

Massive corruption in the Marcos Jr’s regime continues

More than half a year has passed since the regime’s president Ferdinand Marcos Jr’s dramatic State of the Nation Address to the Philippine Congress and to the world that he intended to stop the massive corruption in the government. He projected on screen his list of the biggest anomalous projects and contractors and daringly opened a website “Isumbong mo sa Presidente” where anyone can post information and complaints regarding irregularitiesin the funding and construction in the nation’s flood control and other projects.

Groups condemn Marcos Jr’s massacre of children by bombing

The blatant violation of both Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law by the military forces of the Marcos regime on the first day of the New Year by massive bombing, strafing and relentless battalions-sized attacks resulting in the death of three children and a young researcher has been condemned by progressive groups in the Philippines and abroad.
