The National Democŕatic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) joins the Filipino people in marking the 8th anniversary of the 2016 ruling of the International Arbitral Tribunal (IAT). This ruling is considered a milestone legal victory which recognizes the maritime rights of the Philippines under the United Nations Convention on the Laws of the Seas (UNCLOS). The 2016 arbitral ruling should serve as the starting point and framework for peaceful dialogue between the Philippines and China.

Marcos Jr., Duterte, Biden are guilty of war crimes vs the Filipino people!

The recent guilty verdict of the International People’s Tribunal against the United States government, Marcos Jr. and Duterte affirms the genuine sentiment of the fighting Filipino masses. The verdict underscores the systematic breaches of international humanitarian law (IHL) that continue unabated under the  so-called ‘counterinsurgency’ operations in the Philippines.

Will the AFP, PNP, and NTF-ELCAC obey the SC ruling on red-tagging?

The recent ruling of the reactionary government’s Supreme Court (SC) on red-tagging or red-baiting may be considered a welcome development and a victory of the people’s democratic movement. Coupled with growing international pressure to denounce this draconian tactic of the Marcos Jr. administration, it can also be said that the strong public clamor to stop red-tagging is a driving force for the SC to make this decision.
